Rock, paper scissors is not a new game by any means. Our ancestors, not long after learning to walk on two feet, were using their newly free hands to do many new and interesting things. One inspired young man/ape, probably a cousin to the man/ape who discovered fire (who then married the woman who characteristically invented the wheel) stumbled across an interesting little game where you would hid your hand behind your back and then after counting to "og" would then reveal your fist to your opponent. The only limitation to the game was that neither paper nor scissors had been invented yet, so the combatants would resolve to see whose rock was harder by means of smashing it into their companion’s skull.

And now, the end is here, and so you faced, the final dance off.

Yep, it’s all over, you’ve danced your little hearts out for us here at Weebl HQ, and we just want say a massive thank you to all those who jigged and thrusted, shimmied and rocked. Well done to the contingent that decided that the best kind of dance is one done dressed up in tinfoil and/or leotards. You know who you are! We’ve carefully examined all of the vids, sometimes with envy, occasionally with genuine fear, but mostly with a huge sense of pleasure at your love for the dance that’s fancy. No updates this week on the animation front I'm afraid as I've been away at a wedding for a few days and only just got back after 9 hours traveling. You may remember the fun we had with last years Fancy Dance. Now, finally, we are about to start the Fancy Dance 2007 thanks to the Chemical Brothers sponsoring it and allowing us to get a lovely prize (which we should really decide on).

It's going to be amazing.

We're also going to plug their Dance like a salmon competition as a sort of warm up for you lot to prepare yourselves for a strenuous Fancy Dance which will begin next week. As far as I can see they're going for the interpretive side of the motion based arts. Also it ties in with their new single (out on the 10th of September pop pickers), which I rather like, called Salmon Dance.
